Life Rafts designed for offshore applications.

Revere Oceanmaster 4 - 25 Person USCG SOLAS Offshore Liferafts

Revere’s Oceanmaster  (formerly Surviva/Survival) liferafts are renowned for their uncompromising quality and design sophistication. In addition to meeting the requirements of the International Convention of the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1983, as amended, the Oceanmaster is manufactured to NATO AQAP 1 quality standard and holds approvals from most major international marine authorities, including the United States Coast Guard and UK Department of Trade.  For the recreational boater looking for a commercial grade life raft, the Oceanmaster is available in a space-saving low profile (LP) fiberglass container and cradle assembly (4, 6 and 8 person sizes only).

All Oceanmaster rafts include deck mounting cradle, strap and hydrostatic release unit.

The SOLAS A Pack consists of bailer, paddles, topping-up pump, sea anchor, sponges, parachute flares, smoke signals, hand flares, repair kit, drinking cup, seasick tablets, flashlight, flashlight batteries, flashlight bulb, signal mirror, first aid kit, fishing kit, can opener, whistle, food, water, thermal protective aids and seasickness bags.

The SOLAS B Pack consists of the above with the exception of food and water.  Additionally, there are fewer parachute flares, smoke signals and hand flares.

SOLAS B Pack

Every raft comes packed in a weatherproof container to keep the raft drier and better protected. Service required on third year after purchase, and once every year after first service. The container is secured to a galvanized steel deck-mounted stowage cradle with a hydrostatic release, allowing for both manual and automatic launching.

The space-saving low profile fiberglass container and cradle assembly are only available for the 4, 6 and 8 person OceanMaster liferafts. Larger capacity rafts are packed in round container

Advanced Features of Zodiac Throw-over Liferafts
Manufactured with a durable polyurethane coated fabric, all Zodiac throw-over liferafts are assembled using the advanced Zodiac hot assembly technique, Thermobonding™.

Being computer-controlled, Thermobonding™ eliminates the inconsistencies inherent in the old-fashioned gluing methods still used by other manufacturers.

The fabric's chemical nature and the Thermobonding process make Zodiac throw-over liferafts especially inert to aging factors in the marine environment and procure to ZODIAC throw-over liferafts extreme strength and safety when loaded, an essential factor for this type of liferaft.

Due to the fabric weight and structure, Zodiac throw-over liferafts are easy to service and require light, short sized but remarkably strong, glass reinforced plastic (GRP) containers. All Zodiac throw-over liferafts can be dropped from up to 36 meters. (May vary depending on the size of the liferaft).

Equipment packs are sealed in strong watertight bags, secured to the internal safety line of the liferafts. Approved EPIRB may also be included on request.

Highlighted Components of a ZODIAC Life Raft

The remarkable, new and exclusive, built-in cellular foam floor is a major breakthrough in survival equipment, providing enhanced protection against hypothermia and increased comfort. Coated with a resistant layer of aluminum film, it retains and throws back body heat to protect survivors from the cold of the water. It is also lighter than traditional floors and since it is not inflatable there is no chance of it failing to work when the liferaft is launched.

The double-insulated canopy is fitted with ventilation and observation portholes, a rainwater collector and large, easy to close doors, successfully tested using immersion suit gloves. Supported by a strong inflatable arch it is able to withstand gale-force winds and extreme sea conditions. Finished in a high visible color, it also features retro-reflective tapes and radar attachments to help search and rescue services to quickly locate it's position. The outside signaling light and inside comfort light, fitted with a manual on/off switch to help conserve the 12 hours, automatically activate when the canopy is erecting.

The unique rust-proof ZODIAC firing head allows quick inflation even at -30C (-22F) in less than 3 minutes, whatever the size of liferaft.

High volume, weighted water pockets for immediate deployment are fitted under the floor to stabilize the liferaft.

The use of a large, approved design, sea anchor prevents the liferaft drifting under the lee.
